look, it's 25th November of year 2006. it seems that another year is about to end, and we're approaching a new year. time certainly flies when you're enjoying it.
strictly speaking, it's another 10 more days before i finally pass out of recruit life and graduate as a private. im not exactly being too anxious about that day because it also signifies that im going into another new environment that im not familiar with.
i guess it's human nature to not feel as comfortable in a strange environment. but im sure things are going to change.
i'm going to say that this recruit life was so much of a blessing because nobody felt left out and we all enjoyed our days in camp. learnt many stuffs and really, at this point in time, is where all the major tests come in. im so going to do well for it. it's a personal achievement afterall.
it seems that the term "graduation" often brings in mixed feelings. but i guess we all have to go through this several times in our lifetime. it's time to learn to get used to it.
for all the friends i've made in these 2 months, you guys have been great.

It's been over a month of life being a soldier for the nation. how does it feel? great in many ways and its certainly made me lots of friends and gained lots of "out-of-this-world" experience. Lol.
I think im quite lucky to be in P Coy, they say it's known for its welfare. but it does have its fair share of tough trainings. trust me on that.
anyways, ive got with me lots of great section mates and i think they're quite a fun batch of people. to me, i think it's important that we all click.
my buddy is a great guy, he's always so quick in what he's doing (not that im slow). LOL..
we went through all that shit in that 7 days field camp. heavenly.
in a matter of weeks we'll all go through that recruit phase and be a true blue Private. okay, still not very impressive.
but i think, no matter where you go, it's one thing that i'm here for in army. and that is to make more friends and to enjoy the tough trainings together. i dont want to be giving model answers like defending the nation because it's obvious that's what we are doing. haha.
field camp was an eye-opener.
it was where i experienced the lowest level of living condition ive experienced so far. i can't believe we dug. but that's what we did.
we ate cold food for almost every meal. lunch, dinner and dessert came in packets. and the food that came out looks mashed.
we crawled on mud, something ive never done in my life.
we bathe only once in seven days!
but on hindsight, it was quite interesting. everyone seemed closer to each other after we came through that 7 days of field camp.
for many things that we do, we do it for a reason and we learn from our ways. i've learnt to appreciate the things around me man.
at the end of the day, home is still the best place to be. so i've learnt to cherish life outside!
home sweet home. muahaha..
