there and back again...

yes, im back! 5 months flew.. and here am i standing on the ground that i was born. im in Singapore! well, all i can say now is that im having mixed feelings. at times, i feel excited and anxious to be back, and on other times, there's this deep heart wrenching feel down under. because i hate the feeling of parting. sometimes, i ask myself, "will I ever get to see him or her again?". many times, the answer is "Unlikely". We all know that the unlikely is undoubtedly known as a big NO. I would not know, I chose not to.

But I had my fair share of hard work, joy, fun, pain, laughter, sadness, stress, holidays, jobs... the list goes on. So many things Ive experienced all throughout the 5 months. I felt that I've certainly gained another level of knowledge.

I recalled the first day when I came to UK. All was well except that I didn't have a single clue about preparing my own dishes, I didn't know how much water to add to cook my rice without it turning too hard or soggy, I didn't know how much washing powder to add for my load of laundry. I've learnt it all.

5 months didnt seem to long to me, but tons of memories are in it. I would recall so many things like having parties, playing PS2 with Louis and Zhi yu, solving crosswords with Jon and Atky, having senseless debates with Tom, and correcting my English with Louis, BBQ, buffet dinner, holidays to italy, playing football with chinese and afghans... hahaha.

Whilst on my way back, I thought to myself. Life goes on.. and indeed it's going on. Chris would still be in the electrochem Lab, the Kebab seller in Berlin is still selling his Doner, the Gondola man would still be working in Venice, the usher will still be guiding kids in Disneyland, the receptionist in City Hostel will still be taking his shift --- Everything goes on.

I'm glad and I'm sad.

I wouldn't know if anyone from the University of Newcastle would be reading this but all I can say --- a big THANK YOU for the people from Singapore Society. Thanks to Juni, Nelly, Eugene, Jerome, Wanling, Alvin... and many others, for getting us drunk right on the first day in UK. Especial thanks to Juni for inviting us over to her place for dinner every now and then. I certainly feel that we'll get to see you in Singapore one day and I'm gonna give you a big treat!

The last 11 days spent in Europe was great in many ways. We went to France, Switzerland and Germany. I know I know, it's everybody's wish. They'll have their chance. I only had it earlier. I thoroughly enjoyed sleeping in airports, having One proper meal a day, having biscuits for all other meals and carrying luggages around touring the streets of Paris, Geneva and Berlin.
I've learnt so much more about planning trips and backpacking and I would love to travel more.

I'll continue missing Newcastle, UK and Europe. For now, it's Singapore!

okay, i know it now. i have to start taking more responsibilities up my shoulders because my sister will not be able to handle them all alone. i will i must and i am going to do so. hehhhh.... guilty for the past few months that ive left. so many things happened at home. though they're trivial, the trivial many is going to have the impact of a crucial one. and i do mind as well. so.. that's it. more responsibilites.

i guess it's no more time to be nonsensical and senseless huh.. its now rational stuffs, got to be serious now. my bro's having his N lvls in a month's time and i cant do anything about it-- for now! I'll be back to control him. hehehh...

looking back the pages of my life, i guess ive really changed...
The day hasnt been at all great..

I fell sick eventually. Well I expected it all along and that I knew that this day would come, slowly but surely. Down with flu and a slight fever. The weather here kind of turned nasty for the past week. It was getting to 7 degrees on summer and that might be the cause of it. I just wanna get back to Singapore to meet my family and my friends. One wouldnt really know how much a family mean to him unless he experienced the absence of them... hehh..

Anyways, found some great songs and probably get it loaded :D

take care peeps.

Hey peeps, I believe you guys have heard about the London blasts. Yeh, infuriating. and to be truely afraid of it, I was at the exact place 2 weeks' back. suddenly a Deja Vu stroke me... and it's all back to the 9/11 incident. Damn, Im really hating the terrorists big time. It's been such an eventful week and they were all leaning towards optimism and the good stuffs.

There was the...

Live Aid...
woh, think there was at least 10 hours non-stop concert going on and it was really great with all the singers gathered together aimed at dealing with fighting poverty in Africa. Just like the last big thing they had 20years back... good stuff.

London 2012
They got it.. chosen as the City to host Olympics for 2012.. The atmosphere was felt everywhere and it was just great to be able to see Singapore on National TV (BBC)..

G8 summit
The political part of Live Aid..

London Blasts
Woke up this morning and the moment I turned on my TV I saw "London Blasts". For a moment, i was really shocked and cannot believe what's going on. Afterall, the night before everyone was talking about London 2012. What really surprised me was that the place that was bombed was the placed we lived in. Russell Square.. and even King's Cross... the Tube that we've taken. I was relieved but yet I felt really pissed off with the terrorists.

To the terrorist, \/. no, not peace. but, piss off.
